         The Union City Baptist Temple is a local Independent, Fundamental Baptist Church.  Our church is not part of any association; we are a self-governing body of believers, with Christ and His Word as our only authority.

           Our church was founded in May, 1970, with Larry Bruce as the founding Pastor.  Former Pastors include:  William Taylor, Mike Wenzel, Steve Miller, Fred Ward and Mike Wells.

 We actively try to reach our community and the world for Christ through Soulwinning, Missions and our many ministries.

 

* We promote godly and separated living by our members. We take a stand against that which is contrary to biblical standards.

 

* Our purpose is to preach the gospel of Christ as Saviour, to baptize believers and to teach them to believe and live by God’s Word. We encourage our members to serve the Lord actively through the ministries of our Church.

 

* We welcome any person to visit our church. We strive to be a friendly church!  Transportation is provided for anyone needing it for any service.

 

* We believe the Bible is the word of God and is the final authority on all matters of faith and practice.  We also believe that God preserved his word for all generations in the King James Bible, 1611.

 

* We welcome all visitors to our church no matter their background.  We allow only baptized believers into church membership.

 

* We believe that salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ, the sinless son of God.  His death, burial, and resurrection is sufficient to pay for the sins of the world.  No work or deed can earn salvation.
